Worlds Longest Yard Sale

Fulfilled a dream Friday... I went to the Worlds Longest Yard Sale. Wow, it was amazing (and it continues until this Sunday 8/8). For anyone who isn't aware, the Worlds Longest Yard Sale spans from Michigan to Alabama...675 miles! I didn't travel that many miles, as much as I would ♥love♥ to do so, but the treasures I found on the little jaunt I took, were incredible!

Among other cool and unusual items were this pair of tres extraordinaire "french inspired" night stand lamps.

♥ I spotted them and it was love at first sight♥

Now, I'll be the first to admit...this isn't particularly my shade of pink but the design is what drew me to them and they were a MUST have (believe me there were two lovely ladies behind me just dying to snatch them out of my hands). Sorry girls, the early bird got this worm!

In time I will swap out the pink material for something alittle more "moi".......Is that Robins Egg Blue I hear calling?...

"Merci" to Beverly, from How Sweet the Sound, for hosting such a Grand FĂȘte! Be sure to visit her page along with all the other pink participants...Leave comments - we love 'em!

  5. Happy Pink Saturday Niki Sweetie...
What beautiful lamps you found. Oh my gosh, I love the fabric, but you know you may hear the Robin's Egg Blue calling your name. I am afraid it might be calling my name.

They are so beautiful though. I can't wait to see what else you found. How many miles did you travel of the Longest Yard Sale sweetie?

I would have been happy with just half a days travel out and back.

Have a great evening, and a beautiful day tomorrow.

Many hugs and much love, Sherry

  6. Oh, you are one lucky girl. I bet those women behind you were sick all day and all night. These are gorgeous and I even like the pink, but they will be beautiful no matter what color you put in them.
