National Dog Week September 22-28
Here's a holiday we can wrap our paws around.
National Dog week was founded in 1928 by Captain Will Judy, a noted dog judge and former publisher of
Dog World Magazine. The purpose of National Dog Week is to educate all
dog owners in their responsibilities to their pets and to their
communities, particularly those organizations dedicated to caring for
unwanted or lost dogs.
It's not a week that is claimed by any one organization (or Big Box store - thank goodness) so it is what you want it to be. For us, it will be a week of spoiling and pampering our fur kids. They offer us so much love and laughter throughout the year!
Here are a few of our kids antics (you'll see what I mean):
