The Best Christmas Songs for Pink Saturday
I am staunchly fickle. One might say I am a proud owner of my fickleness, so when Beverly over at How Sweet The Sound asks us to share our favorite anything I give you a list. It can't be helped...it's who I am. HOWEVER, I have to admit there's ONE standout Christmas song, one singer that has managed to maintain a favorite song year after year. That amazing songbird is Eartha Kitt and the tune that has won me over is Santa Baby. Yes, others have covered this song but NONE have come close to Eartha Kitts' sexy, sultry come 'hither Santa voice. Great tune. Of course it wouldn't be me if I didn't give you a list so I asked the furbabies of Maison Mutt to share their favorite Christmas tune.
What.
Didn't you know?
Dogs dig Christmas tunes!
Harley see's himself as a Rat Pack kinda guy. A real coo-coo hep cat. Anything by Dean Martin gets his paws to snappin'. He'd have to say "Baby it's Cold Outside" puts him on cloud 9.

This will be Bijoux's first Christmas. She really enjoyed watching Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer (she thought the Grinch was creepy & much too green). So Rudolph is her favorite song.
She managed to satisfy her curiosity about our Christmas tree this year, by bringing it down to her level...all the way down. Let's just say, she steers clear of it now.

Ahhh the French. Just look how suave Pierre is in his Christmas picture.
Pierre says his favorite Christmas song is "Bouche de Noel". Yes, I know it's a dessert & not a song...take a look at that picture...i'll let you break it to him.

Jasmine enjoys going to the symphony (her favorite is the Boston Pups). She lists Carol of the Bells among her top favorite...especially if played by Mannheim Steamroller.
Merci to Beverly at How Sweet The Sound for hosting such a Grand FĂȘte! Be sure to visit her and the other pink participants and leave comments....we love 'em!

How lovely! And do they sing along? I hope Santa had some nice toys in his sack for them all. Our spaniel adored Christmas, especially mince pies, and would only accept Christmas cake if it came with a small piece of Cheshire cheese on the side.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday!
I wish I could take my babies and get their picture with Santa-priceless!
ReplyDeleteSo very cute!!

Darling post, I loved reading about each of the pups and seeing their pictures with Santa.
ReplyDeleteHappy PS. Merry Christmas and God bless.
That was just lovely. So many cuties. Happy Pink Saturday.
ReplyDeleteNiki, your post has put a huge smile on my face. Your pups are all darling and of course they all have their own cute personality. The Santa shots are priceless. I'm with Gunner, White Christmas is my fave too.
ReplyDeleteWishing you lots of Christmas licks from your pups. I sure get plenty of those from our little poodle darling, Cheri'.
Hugs, Jeanne
OMG Niki your furbabies are absolutely adorable! I'm a new Pink Saturday follower as well as a new doggie mom (we adopted Mollyanna in September 2010 and, just like a child, cannot imagine what life was like before without her!!!). I've sent you an email on your web site as well as I didn't see an email address listed in your profile!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
